About the cohort

The Nordic Occupational Cancer Study (NOCCA) is one of the largest occupational cancer cohorts in the world, based on harmonised census records linked to national cancer registry data across the Nordic countries.

The cohort provides a valuable infrastructure for studying occupational patterns in cancer incidence, monitoring long-term trends, identifying persistent and emerging excess risks, and supporting international collaboration.

NOCCA has contributed to a broad range of epidemiological analyses and continues to serve as an important platform for occupational cancer research in the Nordic region and beyond.
